Sixth Form Results 2026
Strong progress for Haggerston Sixth Form students
Haggerston Sixth Form students are also celebrating strong results in 2026.
Academic outcomes improved significantly, with value added rising from -0.19 to +0.12, meaning students studying academic qualifications made substantially stronger progress from their starting points.
Students secured places at a wide range of universities and progressed to further study, apprenticeships and employment.
Alongside their main qualifications, students also embraced opportunities to extend themselves academically through the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) and Higher Project Qualification (HPQ).
We are delighted with the progress made and remain focused on ensuring that every Haggerston Sixth Form student leaves us with excellent qualifications and ambitious destinations.

Haggerston students celebrate excellent GCSE results
Students and staff at Haggerston School are celebrating an excellent set of GCSE results, with outcomes improving significantly across a number of key measures.
This year:
- 60% of students achieved grade 5 or above in both English and Mathematics, up from 46% last year.
- Our Attainment 8 score increased to 52.9, reflecting strong attainment across the curriculum.
- Outcomes for disadvantaged students improved significantly, with around half achieving grade 5 or above in both English and Mathematics, compared with the low 30s last year.
- Students achieved particularly strong outcomes in English, alongside excellent results across a range of subjects.
These results reflect the hard work and ambition of our students and the commitment of staff across the school. We are particularly pleased to see stronger outcomes for disadvantaged students and a significant rise in the proportion of students securing strong passes in both English and Mathematics.
Executive Headteacher Thahmina Begum said:
“We are incredibly proud of our Year 11 students. These results represent a significant improvement for Haggerston and, most importantly, reflect the hard work of our young people and the staff who have supported them.
We are ambitious for every student at Haggerston. While there is much to celebrate, we will continue to build on these results, particularly by securing even more of the highest grades and ensuring that every student, regardless of background, achieves exceptionally well.”
